How does OINP work with Express Entry?
The OINP's Human Capital Priorities Stream pulls candidates directly from the Express Entry pool. If selected, you receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario and can then apply for a provincial nomination. Upon receiving the nomination, your CRS score increases by 600 points, virtually guaranteeing an ITA in the next draw.
What is the minimum CRS score for OINP?
The minimum CRS for OINP's Human Capital Priorities stream typically ranges from 400–470 depending on the draw. However, targeted draws for specific occupations (tech, healthcare) sometimes accept lower scores. Ontario also runs dedicated draws for NOC codes that may not require a high Express Entry CRS.
